raid - just to confirm Bob' advice

say I buy pci raid card like one from adaptec

and I buy 2 hard drives - are those PCI hard drives?????
I mean WHERE do I stick them in (I know it does sound dumb)

In the PC. Generally it goes like this. Card goes in PCI slot. Drives go
in drive bay. Adjust drive jumpers, connect power connectors, connect 80
conductor cable from card to drives, fire up PC, the adapter BIOS should
let you set the two drive in a RAID and then the RAID array will appear
as a single drive to the operating system. Please read ALL instructions
that come with the card and drives and if you follow them you should be
good to go.
