Radio Recorder Freeware?

Is there any freeware (vcr style} that will record from the line in and that
has a programmable start/ stop timer.

I would like to be able to record some AM Talk radio programs to mp3 on a
regular basis.

TIA

As a matter of fact.....How did u know?

It takes one to know one. C2C commercials are very predictable. So it
makes it easy to use a timer such as Messer to record the meat of the
matter.
Thanks, I 'll check it out.
After I posted I found Audiograbber, I 'll be trying the timer in about an
hour.
Have you tried both?
I have audio grabber installed but the version which I have didn't look
like it does timed recordings.

Happy listening!

AudioGrabber is not perfect but it works. My version is 1.83 and this is a
quote from the author's download page "Audiograbber is now freeware so it is
no longer possible to buy it"
I recorded at 56kb/s , 22,050hz stereo using the internal codec. The 4 hour
file size was 95.3 MB's and it sounded fine.
The perfect scenario for me would be 700mb (1 CD) for 14 days.
Tonite I'm trying at 48kb/s,22,050hz stereo. I think that 32kb/s, 22,050hz
mono would be good, maybe even could go lower.

You have to go to "File, Line In Sampling " , this will bring up a new
window for programming. Looks like you can set about 24 dates or just use no
dates and put in a 1 start time then the length {04:00:00}and as long as the
program is open it will start the same time every nite.

I'll install/try Messer tommorrow

I use a programme that has a VOX automatic start when it hears a signal, and
turn my radio on and off with a timer.
