Radeon 9800XT 256 or Fire GL T2 128?

I currently have an ASUS ATI Radeon 9800XT 256 Video card in my home
PC. I have access to change it to a Fire GL T2 128. I noticed the
Fire GL T2 is much more expensive than the 9800. Should I take the
Fire GL T2? What's the difference between these two cards? I mainly
do music production with my home PC which displays a lot of vector type
graphics (VU Metering and Sound Wave graphics). I do minimal (but
some) video work on the PC. Which one would be the best for me?

The Radeon looks better from the specs. The only other difference I
can see is that the Fire GL T2 is a "Workstation" card and the Radeon
is a home PC card. More info:

9800 FireGL T2
Core Clock 412Mhz 400Mhz
Mem Clock 730Mhz 600Mhz
Mem Interface 256 bit 128bit
OpenGL V1.4 V1.5
Pix Pipe 8 4

Any help would be cool!

Thanks;
Steve

The FireGL will be much slower in games, but much faster in geometry-heavy
3D-modeling apps. Both cards are overkill for your use. :)

If you can change it to a FireGL T2 without spending more money, then unload
it on eBay, you can probably make a profit...

The FireGL T2 is basically a Radeon 9600 with enhanced function set. If
you have no need for things like antialiased lines it would be a good
step backwards ;-)
