Radeon 9600 IRQ 11 problems with Soltek + VIA

Hello Folks

Problem: I have a Radeon 9600 videocard installed in my machine. After
hardware installation, everything works fine. BUT when I install
drivers (newest ATI drivers) the installation process goes OK, but
after reboot my network card and USB ports stops working. They use IRQ
11 like the soundcard (which works!) and Radeon 9600. These new ATI
drivers are visible in XP Control Panel System view and indicate that
they work perfectly. However, ATI control center software is not able
to load by producing an error saying that ATI drivers are not
installed properly.

So: How can I get my ATI card work with ATI drivers, ATI control
center and other IRQ devices (network card, USB etc.) ?

Comment: Earlier I had ATI Rage Pro 128 with IRQ 11 and it worked
fine. Why does not my Radeon 9600 with the same IRQ sharing behave
nicely?

My machine:
- Soltek SL-75 KAV Motherboard
- Athlon 1.3 Mhz processor
- Club ATI Radeon (CGA-E968TVD)
- SB Audigy 2 Platinum soundcard (in IRQ 11)
- Win XP with latest patches
- Bios and VIA 4-in-1 drivers updated

Thanks in advance

Pekka

P.S. Club card facturer support ( http://www.club-3d.com ) is
non-responsive and that is why I ask you experts.

Problem solved:

I changed Club Radeon 9600 (CGA-E968TVD) to Sapphire Radeon 9600 Pro
Atlantis. Now everything is working marvellously and I can finally
play games in great speed.

It seems to me that Club with its own chipset causes problems with
Soltek motherboards and VIA chipsets!? ATI 9600 chipset was not the
case. A unique feature (=bug?) I must say.

Many thanks to Triosoft for great service, flexibility and help!

Interested to hear about similar experiences in this news group :)

I have an Club 9800Pro running on a Gigabyte board with KT400 VIA chipset,
no probs at all, maybe only happens with Soltek boards.
