I have XP Pro. When I click on "restart" windows goes
through the motions and then my computer freezes up
before the shut down completes. If however, I click
on "shut down" the computer performs normally and shuts
down.
Do I have a corrupted file, or bios, or what. How can it
be fixed without re-installing XP and loosing all my
installed software and settings? Is there a software that
looks at all the XP files and finds those that are either
corrupt or missing?
