QuickTime - Streaming Audio

Help, please.... I've got a website that currently contains a few streaming
audio clips in wma format. They're working fine, but I've had a complaint
from a Mac user that they cannot play them, and have requested a QuickTime
compatible format. I know absolutely nothing about Apple products and do not
currently have QT installed on my pc. I've Googled about a dozen different
combinations, but keep going around in circles, and the QT website is
useless without first installing QT. I have a couple audio converters, but I
can't figure out what format to shoot for. Is there a default or preferred
format for QT players? Do I have any hopes of getting the appropriate files
online without first installing QT? I can come up with someone to verify
they're working after I get them online, if I can figure out what kind of
files I need to get online. Thanks for your help,
JW

MP3 would be a good format since it should work for both MAC and Window users.
