Quicktime Plugin

How can I stop Quicktime plugin from playing videos
online? I would like the default player to be Windows
media player.

PS: Running Win XP Pro
 
I forget where, but there is a Dialog in Windows that
lists them all and gives options for which to assign to
do what. Keep asking until you find out where that is.

Start in the Control Panel item for Quicktime, and turn off all the
things you do *not* want it to do, and especially turn off letting it
check these settings when it runs. Then in WMP, use Tools - Options -
File types to turn on the things you do want it to do
