Quicktime Enable Flash Trouble

I am supporting a lab of computers at an elementary school and we just
put in new computers running XP. I installed Quicktime, Acrobat,
Flash, etc. and everything appeared fine. When we try to run KidPix
much of the program doesn't work properly. I found out that the
problem is caused by Quicktime 7.1.3 turning off the "Enable playback
of Flash tracks" by default. I went into Quicktime's prefs and put a
check in the box, but when I hit OK the change doesn't stick. When I
go back into Quicktime's prefs the box is unchecked again. I made sure
that I was logged in as the administrator, but it doesn't seem to
matter. I can't get the change to stick no matter what I try.
Thanks for your help.

I suggest you contact QuickTime tech support.

Are you sure this is the cause of the problem? When you're logged in as
administrator, does KidPix run properly?

No, it doesn't. I have the same problem no matter how I log it.
Riverdeep, the makers of KidPix, list this problem as a known issue
and their solution is to check the "Enable playback of Flash tracks",
but I just can't get the change to stick. I was hoping to find a
solution elsewhere before contacting Apple.
Thanks again,
Nathan
