I am trying to play a quicktime aiff file within PowerPoint 2003 but keep
getting an error that Windows Media Player cannot play the file - any
suggestions?

WMA - Windows, QT = Apple, (The competition) <g> Convert the file to
something Windows can deal with.

An alternative is to install the QuickTime Player on your machine and
hyperlink to the video file (through Insert Hyperlink, rather than Insert
Movies and Sounds). It's not as good as having it play within PowerPoint,
but it is a workaround.
