I have a Quicktime problem which I'm posting here because I can't find any
specific Quicktime forum -- if anybody knows one I'd be grateful for the
address.

When I attempt to open Quicktime player I get error no. 46: unable to find
or load Quicktime Active X control. However, the Active X control
(QTplugin.ocx) is present in the Quicktime directory. When I attempt to
uninstall the Quicktime player, I get a host of dll files that won't
unregister, and during the subsequent reinstallation of the Quicktime player
I again get the same error message even though, I assume, the ActiveX
control is present in the installation setup. Can anyone help?

have you installed the the latest windows (fix) kb896688
this stopped my active-x and i think scripting to work
