Quicklaunch Toolbar Problem

My Quicklaunch toolbar is not there when I boot up!
I put it there and set it up the way I want it, and then do a normal close
windows and turn off, and when I reboot its not there again!
How do I get it to be there by default, and set up the way I want?

I had the same problem, installing sp2 actually fixed this for me.
