Can anyone point me to a free utility that can convert several years
worth of Quicken 6 files to some sort of spreadsheet or database
readable format?

AceMoney Lite can import Qif and export to csv. Select all transactions
before exporting.

Also,, if you (still) have the Quicken 6 program, it can export to csv
itself. And it will run fine under Win2K or XP.
