I posted this once before without any answers so I am trying again. Does
anyone know of or have code that will parse Quicken files? I am writing a
program that will parse quicken files, pull the data I need out and process
it. I have searched the Quicken sites and found their file specs, but I am
having a tough time getting actual files to process. Any help is
appreciated.

John,

This is a very international newsgroup. I know now that Quicken is an
application used on the US market. However why not try it in an excel
programming newsgroup. Most likely the US ones of those have once done
something with that. With that information it should be easy than to use in
VBNet.

(And don't forget to tell what Quicken is, I think that for a lot of us here
it sounds like a Hamburger shop).

microsoft.public.excel.programming

It is one of the most active newsgroups.

I hope this helps,

Cor,

The subject line says "Quicken" in it. If you don't know what it is,
then ignore the thread entirely.

John,

Perhaps it would be helpful if you posted more details like what
problems you're having and even better if you can narrow down the
problem and post related code/specs. Are you getting run-time errors
or corruption?

Sam

Hi,

Here is some info on the qif format. You will have to make your own
reader.
