Quicken Alternative

I can't find the previous discussion on this, so I'll re-ask ... any
freeware alternatives to Quicken (Windows)? Simplicity would be better
for me than full function accounting (no payroll, invoicing, etc)

Quicken is basically a checkbook register with reporting and check
writing and account balancing capabilities. Sorry, I thought it was a
well known enough program so that description was unnecessary. My
apologies.
