My accountant wants to take a look at quick look at quickbooks that is
installed on my domain controller

problem is - i created the user as members of domain user and a security
group called quickbooks

I assigned full control to the quickbooks group to the Intuit folder in
Program Files - (intuit is the name of the folder qb installs to)

I get an error when loading quickbooks as that user that states:

"Your user account for Windows was created with Restricted access to system
resources. This will prevent QuickBooks from operating properly. Please
contact your system administrator and ask him or her to grant you Standard
user rights."

I run it as myself (an administrator) works beautifully

I researched on QB's website - they show for Win2000 and WinXP to make the
user a member of Power Users group. Problem is - this is Win2003 that has AD
installed on it - so there is no power users. - plus i wouldnt wanna make
him a power user - just access to QB.

I went into the registry and added QB security group to the reg keys that i
could find under
HKLM-Software-Intuit

still no good - any help would be greatly appriciated!

Thanks!

Yeah - the Key is

HKEY_Classes_Root\obja.obja

That key needs quickbooks access ;-)

Have fun!
