Quick way to link infos on all worksheets

Selecting all worksheets and entering text into a cell has the consequence
that the text will show on each worksheet in the same cell. However, it is
not linked. So if changes are made in this cell it only changes the current
worksheet.

I know the option of using "=" however, that would mean I have to link the
cell e.g. n all 20 sheets. It would be cool to use the option described above
only that the infos are also linked at the same time.

Does anyone know how to?

Kind regards

Nicole

Do the first sheet with the value/formula (say A1 on Sheet1)

Then group the other sheets and select the cell that you want (A1 again???)
and use a formula:

=sheet1!a1

And then ungroup the sheets

Hi Dave,

Many thanks for the quick response. I must be doing something wrong
(probably misunderstood your instructions). I am keep getting reference
error. When entering the formula I get a dialog box which looks the same when
you open a document but says something along the line "update value". I am
using Excel 2003.

What have I overlooked?

How about sharing the exact steps you did?
