I have a strange problem:
I am using Outlook 2007 and Outlook Connector with a Windows Live email
account and Windows Live Contacts. When I select my Live.Contacts folder
and enter criteria into the Search box more than the valid record(s) are
always
returned.
This always finds the correct contact or contacts entry or entries but
always
includes one or more totally unrelated contacts as well.
I have examined the unrelated contact entries field by field and there is
definitely no relationship between the records - that is no field in either
contact containing the searched name of the other.
The results are always consistent. For example if I enter 'Angela' into the
search box, the same two records are always returned, Angela (the correct
entry) and Liz, who is a totally unrelated contact.
I have never ever sent a single message addressed to both of them and have
never
ever forwarded a message from either one of them to the other.
I'm puzzled.

I have managed to solve the problem myself. I'm posting the result back
here as it may be useful to someone else.
The answer was to:
Close Outlook and load the Indexing Options appelet from the Windows Control
Panel.
Select Outlook from the list of indexed locations.
Click Advanced and then Re-Build Index.
Re-start Outlook and wait a while for the re-indexing to complete.
After that all seems to be working properly. So it would seem to be a Vista
problem rather than a WindowsLive or a Hotmail problem.

No nothing like that at all. Just a private contact with data in FirstName,
LastName address, email and phone fields. I checked all other fields as
well, including other tab pages - even user defined fields which were all
empty.
The problem has now resolved, however, after rebuilding indexes through the
control panel. Searching for 'angela' now yeilds the one record only, as do
may others that I have tested.
A useful thing to remember. I wasted hours before I discovered that one!

Nothing in the notes or fields on the details tab? Address isn't Angela
