Quick Launch Toolbar question

Back again with another question for my friend I'm trying to help. Is there
a difference in what the Quick Launch Toolbar contains between WinXP and
WinXP-Classic? Mine shows IE, OE, WinExplorer, Show Desktop, & Window Media
Player. (I've got my WinXP set on Classic). His Quick Launch does not have
the Show Desktop Option; can't remember what else. I was concerned about
that feature in particular, though.

They start out the same, but you can drag icons on and off the QL bar as
desired.

Just put whatever you want on the QuickLaunch bar. To restore the Show
Desktop icon run the edit on Kelly's site:

The site was having problems yesterday. It was the result of the online
hit counter causing popup's which caused the page not to load for some.

I saw one anomaly though. In a previous post you mentioned tweak line
383. I only see up to 382. I guess I don't deserve more, eh? lol
 
When I go to to that website, it redirects me to casinos, poker palaces, etc.
I do not appreciate this AT ALL. The first page looks okay, but it
immediately switches to the gambling places.
 
That's not Kelly's site, your PC is compromised.

Just to elaborate on Bob I's excellent advice to you - your computer is
infested with malware. You did not get it from Kelly's site. Clean up
your computer and then worry about your QuickLaunch Bar. There's a good
chance the malware messed up the QL Bar anyway.

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting
this - then take your machine to a professional computer repair shpo
(not your local version of BigStoreUSA).
