Quick Launch toolbar disappears!

Suzy

Hello,
I have a problem with my Quick Launch toolbar. Each time
I turn off my computer and restart it, the toolbar
disappears. I can display it by clicking on the bar at
the bottom of the screen, but I have to do it each time I
switch on my computer!!!
I work with Windows XP Pro edition, Office 2003.
Thanks for helping me!
Suzy

This was caused by a Spyware program that automatically installs
search toolbar on your computer.

To fix:

In Registry Editor (Start > Run... > regedit), navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Window
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Name: Userinit

Data: %system32%\wsaupdater.exe,

%system32% represents the path to the System32 folder. For example, i
the path is C:\Windows\System32, then the data would be

C:\Windows\System32\wsaupdater.exe,

Instead of wsaupdater.exe, the data should contain userinit.exe,. Usin
the example above, the data would be

C:\Windows\System32\userinit.exe,

Do not forget to add the comma at the end.

Close the Registry Editor and reboot your computer. Problem solved.
