Quick Launch Toolbar at Maximum Width

I made my Quick Launch toolbar the maximum width by pulling it horizontally
and now I can't resize it smaller. How do I get it back to normal?

right-click launch bar
unlock taskbar
make desired changes
right-click launch bar
lock taskbar
 
Run the mouse over it till you see the up and down arrow and drag it back down to desire size.
