Hi

A few days ago the size of my quick launch icons increased in size (also
system tray) - have no idea why or how to fix. Any suggestions ? Cant fill
all icons on the screen now which is pain.

XP SP2.

Thanks in advance

Without knowing more....

This can happen by opening Accessibility Options, etc. If the icons on the
Quick Launch bar are showing as being larger, it will result in the taskbar
being twice its height and also include the date or similar under the clock.

If this is the case, right click the Desktop/Properties/Appearance/
Advanced. Under the Item drop box choose Caption Buttons and change the
number by one, ok your way out, then rest to 25.

And/or reset your default to the XP Theme. If need be, switch to Classic
first, then back to XP Style.

That worked a dream. Thanks.

By lowering the value from 25 to about 18.

However I forgot to mention that my IE Links bar icons also became
bigger and they are still that way. Any idea which setting configures the
size of these... ?

Control Panel - Display - Appearance. Click Advanced and in Item select
Caption buttons and adjust size (it also affects the min/restore/close
buttons on all windows BTW)
