Quick Launch Icons Size

Hi All --

I just finished setting up my new machine running XP SP2, and the Quick
Launch is making me crazy because I can make the icons small.

When I open the context menu in the Quick Launch area and select View|Small
Icons, the small size is not that small. Actually, it's the same size as the
large icons on my old machine (also with the same XP version). If I click
View|Large, theicons get really big.

Can anyone help me figure out how to get the icons to actually display is
the normal small size?

Thanks,
John

All the icons at the bottom of your screen -- from the Start button on to
the right.

Actually through sheer dumb luck I fixed the problem. I when to Control
Panel | System and clicked the Advanced tab on the system properties dialog.
Then under Performance I pressed the Settings button. In the Visual Effects
tab I fooled around with the setting and the icons were reset to their proper
size.

Thanks for taking the time to help me with this.

Hi, I assume you opted for "adjust for best appearance."
You can also change the size of the icons both in the Quick Launch and on
the Taskbar buttons through Display Properties.
Start
Control Panel
Display
Appearance tab
Advanced button
Open up the list where it says "Desktop" and select "Caption Buttons"
You can adjust the point size of your caption buttons.
Apply
OK
