I'm about to buy a Dell PC w/ XP Media Center, I can use my old XP
Professional Upgrade CD right? I used it to upgrade Regular XP Home Edition
to Pro. Just want to make sure.

Sorry, but there is no supported upgrade path from
Windows Media Center Edition to Windows XP
Professional. I would recommend that you instruct
Dell to install their preinstalled version of Windows
XP Professional in lieu of Windows XP Media Center
Edition.

Unless you are trying to join a domain, then you really don't need to
bother with an sideways-grade to Pro as that is the only thing after
install that Pro can do that MCE cannot.

If you do need to join a domain, then you can use your upgrade CD and
Product Key to do a clean install of Pro.
