quick change to password input screen

I have a standalone PC with 2 accounts. The
administrator acct is password protected. When I am in
this acct and pause for a very short time, the system
sends me back to the 'login' screen to login again. Is
there a way of increasing the length of time that one can
pause (i.e - go get a coffee) without being sent back to
login again?
 
Right click the Desktop, select Properties, Screen Saver and adjust your
timeout and password options there.
