Questions on restricted shares - XP Home

My desktop runs XP Pro, but two other family members have laptops
running XP Home. I would like to be able to restrict share access
on each computer to just one of the other two. So, for example, I
want to sync certain financial files with one laptop, but not the
other laptop (which would itself have it's own syncs on different
folders).

The problem is the XP Home computers. Home seems to treat everyone
on the network as a Guest logon, and completely ignores that actual
name and password of the user logging in. And while I can change
the NTFS permissions of a folder as it applies to Guest, I don't see
how to assign different rights to different network Guests.

Of course I can accomplish all of this on transfers from my Pro
computer to the other two by turning off Simple File Sharing and
setting the rights as I want them, but going in the other direction,
and between the two laptops, it appears that on the Home machines,
if a folder is shared with one other computer, it's shared with all.

Do I have this right with respect to XP Home, or have I missed
something?
