Hello

I'm a new windows user and had a question about the ALL PROGRAMS menu -- I downloaded a shareware program that was an .exe program -- it did not have an installer associated with it. I dumped it in the c:/program files/ directory and expected to see it show up on the ALL PROGRAMS menu, but it didn't

How does that work? I thought it would just recognize anything in the folder? Is there someplace I need to add it to the menu

Thanks

Mark

You have to place a shortcut to it on the Start Menu under your user name in
Windows Explorer under Documents and Settings. You can right click drag the
file to that folder, release the button and select create shortcut.
