Question on Princeton Graphics VL1916

I bought a Princeton Graphic VL1916 a few months ago. I really lik
it. Very very bright and excellent contrast.
They only thing I do not like: When going in standby mode it does no
go dark but starts switching between red, blue and gree
(fullscreen). I just hate that. So I power it off. But sometimes
forget and the whole room goes into a diso show
Does anybody know if it is possible to configure that monitor to g
dark when it goes in standby mode instead of starting that ligh
show
Otherwise I am really happy with it

The factory accidentally left it in "burn-in" mode when it was shipped.
There does not seem to be a standard way to deactivate the BI mode,
so you may have to call the help line (assuming they have one). Or you
can try experimenting with different combinations of the control buttons
after it goes into that mode. I'd go for the phone call myself.
