Question on new motherboards

Are there motherboards that takes both 45nm Intel CPUs or 65nm Intel
CPUs?

The Asus P5E has the X38 chipset, which supports Core 2 Duo and Core 2
Quad and Core 2 Extreme. Does it mean it can take either a 45nm
QX6950 and it can also take a 65nm Q6600?

Are there motherboards that take both DDR2 and DDR3 RAMs? I want to
use DDR2 for now. But will go for DDR3 when it's cheaper.

Again Asus P5E has the X38 chipset. This chipset supports both DDR2
and DD3 RAMs. Can I use either DDR2 or DDR3 RAMs on this board?

If Asus P5E can't do it, can any other boards do what I mentioned?

A great many answers can be found here, by using the pulldown menu
in the center of the page.

This page is for QX9650 (line manually wrapped).

There are boards that take DDR2 and DDR3, but you do not want them.
Read the reviews before you buy. Also, you can visit vip.asus.com
forums for more feedback.

If you aren't fixated on SLI or Crossfire support for video, lots
of motherboards can be used to build a working system. Some are as
cheap as $67.

Yes there are some transitional boards.

No the P5E uses DDR2 RAM only, however Asus also make a DDR3 version of that
board called the P5E3
If Asus P5E can't do it, can any other boards do what I mentioned?

Yes but I wouldn't bother, just get a DDR2 board.
By the time DDR3 is cheap there will be a whole lot of new motherboards
using later chipsets and different cpu sockets to support the next range of
Intel cpus.
