Question on Frames

Word 2007. If I convert a Text Box to a Frame, I can't seem to match the
size of the frame to that of the text box - there's a large(ish) margin
between the top of the text box and the top of the frame. Can I re-size the
frame, and if so how?

I don't quite follow the "there's a large(ish) margin between the top of the
text box and the top of the frame" bit. If you have converted the Text Box
to a Frame, why is there still a text box?

I've experimented in W2007 and if I create a text box and format it exactly
5 x 5 and then use the Convert to Frame command, it creates a Frame 5 X 5.
But resizing a Frame is the same as resizing a Text Box: right-click the
edge of the Text Box or Frame and select Format Text Box or Frame.

unusual? You can right click the border of the frame and format it, if that
is what you mean.

Not quite - it's a bit difficult to explain in words!
I have a text box with a border round it. I want to anchor it to the page so
I converted it to a frame (textbox doesn't give me the "anchor" function
AFAICS). What then happens is that the borders still appear within the
frame, but the physical area taken up by the frame itself is bigger than the
text box was and so affects the amount of space available. Not by a lot, I
grant you, but the document this is on can have very dense text! (And is
limited to one page...)

Turned off Community Features and it works. Community features are
definitely broken.

url. The one called Text box is what I see in the document - the one
called Frame is what I see when I click in the frame. If I re-size the
frame, then the black outline re-sizes with it.....which is not what I
want to happen! I want to re-size the frame to the size of the black
outline...

If I re-size the frame, the black bordered box within it also re-sizes...

box, but are more likely to be paragraph border -

This is before I knew about Frames!
Insert-Text Box-Simple Text Box.
Cursor changes to "cross", Right-click, format text Box. On the Text Box
tab, click "Convert to Frame".
Interestingly, when I do that in a new document, the behaviour is as you
describe it should be....

I think the issue is that frames have borders and text boxes have "lines."
The text *in* the text box can have a border; when the text box is converted
to a frame, that border might well be applied to the frame since the frame
is also part of the paragraph formatting.
