I was looking through the prompts in File Transfer Wizard and am
wondering about a couple of things.

1. I have an 8x CD Writer and am wondering how many CDs will be needed?
2. Just what is being saved to those CDs? I'd love it if it would save
my contact info in MS Outlook XP. Is that the case?
3. I am also wanting to save the various Dreamweaver extensions that I
added to Studio MX (Dreamweaver, Fireworks and etc.). Will this applet
help in that department?

Though the HD is 40GB, only about 12GB is used. This includes EVERYTHING.

Thanks in advance.

The File Transfer Wizard is probably not suited to copy and save all
that you want. You might consider using something like Drive Image
or Ghost which can save your entire 12GB of data to CDs. You can do
the math to determine how many CDs you'll need. Both programs can
apply high compression which will reduce file length to almost half on
average.

Alright, thanks. Wasn't sure of what this File & Settings Transfer
Wizard was.

I did try Ghost 2002 and for some reason, it claimed that I needed 40
CDs. 40 CDs for 12GB??? I know I missed something.

It depends on how many files you want to transfer - which is at your
choice. read Gary Woodruff's article on Files and settings Transfer at
