question on deploying using an image

dave

I have a situation where about 15 completely identical computer....old
computers need to have XP, some Dell drivers and MS Office loaded. It
takes over 2 hours to do this per machine - too long.

I'd like to create an image and copy that. I understand there are
some other things I'll need to do. Both XP and MS Office are volume
license versions. The machines are NOT on a network, and DO NOT have
the Internet available. THe machines are all identical, the only
exception is amount of memory (some 256, some 512).

My questions are: Can I or should I make am image with Office and
drivers and everything?

Should I activate the original install
before making a clone?

Thank you.

1. i would make an image, but you dont not need to include seperate drivers
if hardware is identical

2. if what you say above is true ("Both XP and MS Office are volume license
version") then there would be no need to activate
