Question: Create another ACF freeware webring ?

I know I'm throwing fuel on the fire, but I cannot resist to ask this
question. Many people in acf dislikes rtdos' 'hijacking' of the acf name
for a webring which definition of freeware clearly is in opposition to
the majority of the regulars in the group (see the voting for
pricelessware and other threads).

Should I/you/we/someone start another webring?
Two goals: 1. to promote freeware, 2. compete with rtdos' webring
This webring could be promoted on the Pricelessware pages and in John
F.'s FAQ (perhaps John F. will start to announce his version more often?).

Or shall the alt.comp.freeware webring just be silenced to death?

Opinions?

No need to. There are already freeware web rings.

No. Opposing childishness with the same is inappropriate IMO.

I will possibly do that in time. For the moment however the many
current, pointless threads, have meant that we already have more posts
than we need here already.
Or shall the alt.comp.freeware webring just be silenced to death?

I think that that will probably happen automatically.

This is an unmoderated group so he is free to waste his time promoting
such things. As killfiling him is looking more appealing with every
new rant of his I expect many will not be seeing what he says anyway.
On any topic at all.

Regards, John.
