Question Concerning TAsk Manger in xp pro

Hello I am running xp Pro and to day I noticed when I hit ctrl alt delete to
end a program it opens up the task manger but there nothing what so ever
showing which cant be right
any suggestions?

If sounds as if you have Task Manager running in "Tiny
footprint mode".Double click the border to restore it to its
original appearance.

Why is part of my Task Manager gone?
