Question: Computer ventilation

Hello.

My computer comes with two 80mm fians, one in the back and one on the side.
The one on the side is an intake fan.

How many inches of clearance does the side intake fan require for proper
ventilation?

The side fan should be an intake and the rear fan exhaust. A few inches from
any adjacent object should be fine, provided it's not a source of warm air.
