question about system shutting down

I have a slightly older system that has just started powering off about 30 -
45 seconds after windows loads and afterwards will not boot in safe mode at
all...well it starts to boot in safe mode then after about 5 seconds it
reboots.

I borrowed a UBCD from a friend and ran memtest, prime95, a couple of
different HD scans, and ran anti-virus and spyware but nothing has shown up.
Where would I need to look on the C drive to find the crash report? And is
there anything else I can/should check?

Well never mind.. now the system will power up for about 3 seconds (just
long enough to spin the fans) then turn off.... even after I unplug
everythign but the motherboard... so I'm assuming that it's a dead power
supply. I have a friend with a testor that I can borrow tonight... but this
has to be the problemm.
