Question about Scheduled Tasks

Hi,

I’m trying to use Scheduled Tasks to set up some maintenance plans on my XP
system. My question is: surely, all this feature does is open the program in
question? How can I make sure that the program opens and performs the correct
task?

It depends on the program and how you set it up. With some programs you
have to use a command line version or else the programs opens when scheduled
and just sets there waiting for user input.
