Question about PowerPoint 2008 for Mac

When saving as a web page .htm is there a publish feature in PowerPoint? I
don't see one similar to PowerPoint 2007.

We're using a site called D2L that students access and publish there
PowerPoint slides but the slides look misconfigured and characters look
strange which could be because of D2L - the site recently went through an
upgrade from 8.2 to 8.3

If you download the PowerPoint files to a Mac it works great in PowerPoint
2008 but I couldn't find a publish option. Any help would be great.
