Question about Panda

I was cleaning up guy's computer this morning. It had CoolwebSearch and
About:blank and numerous other infections. I successfully got rid of them
but there is still one annoying problem. He has the Panda Security Suite
and shortly after you get connected to the internet a Panda box pops up
asking for his "security" password. He remembers what it is but really
can't remember how he went about getting it in there. I couldn't find
anything in Panda's options to get rid of it. I have had little experience
with Panda so I though maybe someone here might recognize this.
Also a window slides up in the right hand corner in green, telling him that
his computer is fully protected. It has to be clicked off and we keep
clicking on "Don't remind me again" but it comes back up when he reboots
anyway.
Can anyone help me out here?

I use Panda Internet Security 8.05.01 and I can't see a security
password, other than the one associated with the Settings/Updates page
where you enter the User name & password. Is his copy 'genuine', i.e.
has he got a valid user name & password? If either is wrong it will keep
saying you have an incorrect username/password. Its in the Help file.

That comes up every time you reboot and every so often to say that the
system is protected (or not). You can turn it off in General/Settings if
you wish. I would rather know that everything is OK, especially the
firewall!

Yes... he brought all the paperwork with him. The password he uses to
access Panda's site for updates is NOT the same password he has to type
in this window that is popping up. It is apparently one he assigned
himself when he installed it. He can remember it easily because it's the
same one he uses for dialup and email. That window will not go away
without typing the right password in it. If I could find where to change
it, I'd change to to a blank password and then he could at least just
click and go when it comes up.

Yes, I see your point there. At least that's just a mouse click. He can
live with that. It's the one that comes up in the middle of the screen
asking for the password that is annoying.
I'll call him and get the exact version number and maybe I can find
something on Panda's site about it.

I've just been digging a bit more into Panda. Have a look in
Settings\Restrictions. There is a box for Supervisor password there.
That may be what you want?
