Question about languages. (MUI) ( a bit advanced)

In XP you had to have english to install a MUI of another language

That all changed with Vista, because if you have ultimate in any language
you
can download the MUI from the ultimate extras, and convert that vista into
any language you want.

The scenario I am thinking is of some people that want to buy a non enlgish
Vista ultimate,
and then install the english MUI on top.

HOWEVER..
1) not all languages are available yet, does anyone know when they will be?

2) Is this totally without any problem whatsoever in regaurding to program
compatibility?

I mean if your original vista is in chinease for example and you have
installed english on top,
will programs have any problem with that (because the original is chinease
and not english)

3) Can you later slipstream those mui packages into the dvd itself so you
will have them
ready in case you want to re install in the future? Is there a way to
download them and have the mui packages as files?

4) In XP you could have 2 users, and each user could have applied a
different language on their desktop.
I can imagine this is the same thing with Vista now.. but can someone
confirm this?

thank you in advance

Vista is programmed language neutral so the install packs truly make your OS
the language that you select.

I don't have an answer for when all languages will be available, but I do
have the answer to your other question.

Applications should pick up on the english language interface and follow
that.

However, not all applications work that way. Some applications have you
choose the language interface that you want to use when you install them.
Those applications would still be in the original language that you chose
until you switch the settings.
