Today Windows Vista Enterprise appeared as Download on my technet portal and
Microsoft gave me a Volume Key Type "MAK", saying it is good for 15
Activations.

As I intend to only install this once on a second partition ( Vista Business
Retail already installed ) just a quick question -

MAK is against MS Servers, correct ( no need for KMS ) ?
Does this mean I can install this on 15 PCs then or 15 times do a
reinstallation on 1PC ?

my other technet Keys Retail for Vista,XP and Office say 10 PCs at the same
time - where a reformat of a single PC would not substract one of the 10
counts.

This now clearly says "Volume Activation", so just to make sure.

Thx

Yes, a MAK activation is against MS servers and there is no need for KMS
(which requires a minimum of 25 installations anyways).
Does this mean I can install this on 15 PCs then or 15 times do a
reinstallation on 1PC ?

The former.

You can activate using that key 15 times. Unlike the retail Technet keys,
the activation count available will decrement, even if you install it on
the same PC.
