Question about Capture

Hi can anybody help me, I'm trying to capture my Wedding Video from HI8
video to my PC (for eventual burning to DVD) the problem I am having is that
any capture programs I use will only let me capture MAX @ 352x288, Which
isn't that great for TV I would like to get to 720x576. Could any body
point me in the right direction for tweaking this problem?

I have a RAGE128 All-In-Wonder video capture card. I have tried from many
programs but I find VirtualDub to be the best.

Many Thanks

Dave :)

3D isn't the only thing to improve with newer technology. Video capture has
as well. You will be lucky to get MPEG1 VCD out of that card. You will need
a more modern card to get DVD quality MPEG2 captures.

I have a SONY digital HI8 which I connect directly to the USB2.0 port using
Sony USB2.0 drivers which came with the camera and then using
MediaStreams NeoDVDplus5 I burn directly to a DVD in MPEG2 format.The
program also lets me burn to HD and then convert to MPEG2 for burning to
DVD.The program came with the DVD burner
Depending upon your video camera you dont really have to use the video cards
input.
There are a lot of programs out there that do conversions. The best ones now
go to MPEG4
