Question about archiving emails in Outlook 2003

I want to be able to save a specific folder of emails onto a CD to store
elsewhere than on my hard drive. I tried to archive the folder manually and
then burn the .pst file to a CD, but I had two issues with this.
First, I had trouble opening the file. I have read some posts here, so I
may have done that incorrectly (It was about 3 weeks ago that I tried to do
this and I think I tried just double clicking the file).

Second, by archiving, the emails are moved to the archive folder. I wanted
to be able to have a copy archived onto the CD. Is there a way to do this?

Thank you for any help.

First of all you will need Outlook installed to read the pst files.

Secondly to save you pst files to a CD the way I do it is to right click in the Outlook folder that holds the pst files and select Copy to Folder .. At this point I have an empty folder set up and from there I put it on a CD or DVD.

That is my way of saving the pst files while leaving the pst structure in place . There is many other ways of doing it and most likely some others will post the different ways.
