I just wanted to know if there is more than one way to install Windows XP
onto a new hard drive... This for a project so i jus need a few pointers/
facts.. Thanks a mill......................

The way depends /mainly/ on your inventiveness ;-)

If you are building a new computer (eg new blank hard drive) then you just
need to..

a) check the CD drive is in the BIOS boot list (it usually is so skip this
step)
b) Insert the WinXP disk
c) Reboot and follow the instructions.
d) Make sure firewall is ON
e) Install antivirus S/W
f) Set up internet connection if not done in c)
g) Run windows update
h) Set up any additional user accounts (not a good idea to use the default
admin account)
