Query Users' Outlook Signatures

My HR director wants to know if I can gather all users' signature files to
make sure that they are complying with company policy. I know that the files
are stored locally on the desktops and not on the exchange server. Is there
a way to do this without having to manually access each machine and pull the
signature files?

Sure. Use a logon script to get the contents of the signature folder.

Good idea. Do you have any links that have examples of the script that I
could modify?

Thanks,
Nick

I suppose it depends on what you are using as a login script processor. But
the basic idea is:

- At logon, copy any (text/HTM/RTF) files at %userprofile%\app
data\MS\signatures
- Append user-identifiable data to filename (userid, date, time, e.g.)
- Copy to some central location that all users have Write permission to

So you end up with (for example) jsmith112022008.081502.FormalSig.txt for
each signature in a central location where they can be reviewed.
