Query returns wrong number

Joe

I am running a query that displays in access as:

1.00000000154924E+18

When exported to Excel it displays as:
1000000001549240000.00

the correct number should be:
1,549,240,000

Is there anything I can do to correct this?

Hi Joe

1.00000000154924E+18 means 1.00000000154924 times 10 to the power of 18
which is correctly handled by Excel in your case.

How are you doing the calculation? The version in the query and the version
it's exporting are the same number in two different formats, but clearly it's
off of "what it should be" by a factor of a billion or so...

My guess is that the calculated number is correct for whatever calculation
expression you're using, just not correct for whatever calculation you
actually WANTED to do. What's the expression in the query that gives you this
result?
