query for experienced Avast! users from newbie

Hi,
I am new to Avast! (after the latest version of AVG crashed my
computer - never again!) So far all going well but have a wee query -
I use MailWasher Pro to scan all emails first before opening in
Outlook Express and whilst in OE the little blue "A" icon in tray
swirls around yet when I check dialog box showing the providers that
are currently running the one at "Outlook/Exchange" section says "The
provider is waiting for a sub-system to start" - why is this and do I
need to adjust anything? Many thanks

Outlook/exchange is not the same as outlook express.
Outlook Express is scanned under"internet mail".
Your settings are fine. There is a good forum to ask about avast.
