Quattro Pro to Excel

Terry

I have Vista Home premium, Office 2003. I need to open Quatro Pro 1 for
Windows files. Online help says install the Quattro Pro 5 converter by
going to Control Panel/ Add Remove Programs and selecting Add/Remove
features.

Unfortunately, when I do that Vista only tries to reinstall Excel, I don't
get any options to add the converter. I reinstalled Office and that didn't
help.

So, any suggestions?

If you try to open the file in Excel, you should get a dialog box which says
something like "converters not installed. Do you want to install? Yes or No"
and if you click Yes it will install the converters...
BTW, this is an Office question, not a Vista one...

Terry,

Although Gordon answered your question, he's statement about this not being
an Office group means this is for General Vista questions. By not posting in
the appropriate groups you limit yourself from the people whom specialize in
what you are seeking. If he's answer does not solve your problem try one or
both of the following groups.

microsoft.public.office.misc
microsoft.public.office.setup
