I can't get QuarkXpress past the initial insyallation (a few seconds) before
a window pops up saying that QuarkXpress 7 is only compatible with Windows
XP, Windows 2003 or later.
Have you tried running in Compatibility mode? Right click Quarks install,
executable > click Properties > Compatibility tab > under Compatibility
mode, check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" box click in
the list box and choose an appropriate version of Windows the software is
known to run without problems.

Well, I have done this with 32-bit applications on Vista x64 and it does
work. Unless Quark uses some specific engine whether for Printing PDF's or
colour tone that interacts with kernel, then it needs to be 64-bit native to
work properly with Vista.
