Q. re logging into WinXP from LAN PC

Jimmy Dean

Have 2 XP PCs, P1 and P2. A has 2 users, A and B.

From B I logon onto P1 as A (guest a/c turned off on P1) so I can
access shares assigned to A.

How can I logoff as A on P1 and logon as B, so I can access shares
assigned to B?

At present the only way I know to do this is to restart P1.

That is a common question. First, you are not "logging on" to the computer
with the share, you are authenticating. You only log on to the computer you
are seated at. Authentication is cached. You will need to log off (of the
computer you are sitting on) and log onto that comptuer as user B when you
want to access resources that user B has permissions to access. If you want
to access shares that only user A has permissions to, you need to log off
the local comptuer and log back on as user A. If you are supposed to be able
to access both, just grant access to those shares to user A and B. Or create
a user C that has access to both, and log on as C. If you create matching
accounts on both computers, you won't have to supply a username or password
to access shares.

Well... how much do you make a day? 150 euro?
If you send me those - I send you solution. It won't include any other
software or crap.
But if you make money with that, I have no reason to help you. Sorry but
life is not a rose garden.

P.S. Versuch doch mal mit Logik. :)
