Q: "Grouping" controls / "locking" controls to background?

I obviously don't know what these are called in Access as I've googled
and googled the archives and nothing has come up (other than, i.e.,
"grouping" in terms of sorting instead of controls, etc.).

How do we do this in A2K, pls?

What I mean is this - every once in a while I'll add a button and then
I need to add a text label to it. It's not often, but it has
happened. After doing this, would like to group these two controls
together so that they can be moved as one. (This can be done in other
db apps, so know that A2K must have an equivalent technique).

Then, once the form, etc., is partially done, I'll lock down controls
that I'm know sure of re their position. That changes the handles
around the "controls" in other apps and won't permit a developer
moving them until they're "unlocked".

Pls advise and thanks! :blush:D

Just out of curiosity, what db applications allow you to create forms like
Access does? I thought it was the only one.

Select the controls (Ctrl+Click or click and drag to select multiple
controls) then select Group from the Format menu.

YES! <g> That's takes care of grouping. <sigh> Format ... that's
what happens when you have 20 million things going; harder to find
even the perhaps more obvious.

Thanks! :blush:D
